The Centre County Real Estate Investment Club would like to welcome Steve Mayes with the Centre County Tax Assessment Office.

Mr. Mayes has a long history in real estate and investment building in the Virgina area. He has recently acquired a position with the tax assessment office and is willing to share his knowledge and expertise in this field.

The Centre County Assessment Office is responsible for maintaining the tax assessment roll for the local property tax levy. County government, seven school districts and 35 of the 36 municipalities levy property tax as a principal source of revenue. The Assessment Office maintains a listing and valuation inventory of approximately 55,000 parcels within the county.
